My life… God’s workplace

Philippians 2:13
…for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

It is precisely because God is at work in us that we have hope and a bright future. It is because God is at work and never gives up on us but is always seeking to advance His plans and purposes in our lives that we too don’t have to call it quits. We can wake up and look forward to a new day because we know that the Creator of the universe is diligently at work in each one of us individually. Your future is bright because He is at work in you.

It is also the same reason why we need to line ourselves up with His working in our lives by equally investing in that work. Let us be encouraged and motivated with this truth just as Paul intended and expected the Colossian Christians to be and respond by working out their own salvation with great fear and trembling, in other words, with utter awe and respect..

Philippians 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,

God is continuously and faithfully working in our lives to to bring about His purposes for each one of us. Let us not waste His labour of love but match it by digging in with determination and ensuring that we daily connect with Him in personal devotion and not neglect but value and frequent the fellowship of the brethren. God’s purpose in our lives can only be realised if we co-work with and alongside Him. Where there is no diligent and determined co-working with and alongside Him by us, we fall wide of His mark for us in this life. Friends, let us determine not to by injecting diligence and discipline into our daily connect with God and our fellowship with the brethren.
