Keep your connection live: Day 1

“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.”
― John C. Maxwell, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth: Live Them and Reach Your Potential

The time you set aside to daily connect with God is an absolutely important, indispensable and irreplaceable discipline in your life. This discipline of daily devotion is not just about maintaining a routine but meaningfully connecting with a person – God Himself. Christ came into the world and died to reconnect us with God, to restore our relationship with Him. After making his declaration and testifying to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the apostle John states that the purpose of His declaration was so that we too can be partakers of the fellowship, the communion they enjoyed which is with God the Father and with His Son.

1 John 1:3
what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may have fellowship along with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Your daily devotion is where you establish and maintain a meaningful connection with the Lord. It is where you get to personally experience Christ for yourself, where you relate with Him one on one, where your walk and relationship with Him find primary expression. Otherwise your faith will be all talk and no walk. This is the primary place of expression of our relationship with Christ, this is where we service and maintain that relationship, where we keep that connection live.

Let’s do it.
